2008 highlights

January: I was interviewed for FootFit.com by Sloane Miller. Reruns of her Chocolate Cake baking segment ran on FitTV (Get Fresh with Sara Snow Show), and  made a huge, custom Chocolate Cake to Live For by for my dear friend Walter Feldsman's 90th Birthday Party!

Mid-January to early February: I enjoyed a spectacular 3 weeks in Europe, visiting Monte Carlo, Budapest and Paris. I spent time in museums, galleries and of course, food markets, bakeries, and restaurants. Many ideas for new, healthier versions of traditional desserts are in process.  I've already used smoked Hungarian paprika in brownies--just great. Link to photos

February: I taught several classes, Retro Desserts, Old_Fashioned Desserts, Cupcakes and The Winter Vegan Baking Boot Camp, which sold out fast and found students from both coasts working hard and creatively. Boot Campers were treated to a tour of a NYC Chocolate Factory. New friendships, sharing of excellent information, lots of tasting at the end of each day, visiting NYC restaurants, and more, as the winter weather cooperated. What a wonderful group; I was in heaven. See photos in NEWS .

Coming up:
Another next radio interview with the one and only Louis Free http://free.vindy.com who dubbed me the Dessertrix! and classes at Whole Foods Markets, NYC and Princeton NJ.

Watch for my restaurant review for Vegetarian Voice (summer), The North American Vegetarian Voice Magazine, as I look forward to the NAVS Summerfest in June.

And! I will be making wedding cake for my daughter Tracy's wedding in May. Now that is good news indeed!

I am getting closer to publishing my blog, so we can be more interactive.  In the meantime, please write to me via this website's link to my email address. I will reply.
Please support my books with comments, requests of your bookstores, and recommendations, if you'd be so kind.
